Ester Blomerus is a dedicated Christian author/content writer and motivational speaker. She has always shown a keen interest in Church History as well as the stormy intertestamental era with its special Judaic history.  For this reason she has made an intensive study of the early Church, its doctrinal development, the mainline rival apostate sects, also including the vibrant post-apostolic era.

She is  currently involved with online evangelism and she will therefore, at this point in time,  focus on podcast teachings, i.e. besides  articles  on specific issues and then written specially for this website.

Apart from her dedication to  Biblical Truth, she  has a keen interest in the reality of Jesus and especially the wonderful Gifts of God’s Spirit given to those who believe. She is a third generation Pentecostal believer and the daughter of one of the pioneer evangelists in South Africa, Arie Blomerus (1910-1997), who was born into a staunch Calvanist family, yet who embraced the Pentecostal movement after an altar call and when he was also mightily filled with God’s Spirit (August 1926). It was especially his encounters with Jesus through visions and special revelations that  has rubbed off on the family, yet her mother, Mimie, was also a staunch believer and a Holy Spirit vessel of God (1920-2004).

Ester’s mother was the daughter of Reformist parents who obeyed the Lord (1916) shortly after the Pentecostal movement was brought by Holy Spirit missionaries to South Africa. Mimie’s parents were actively involved with the gospel and her father was also a well-respected Pentecostal Pastor who began working for the Lord in 1916 (her parents’ baptismal year).

Mimie therefore had sound knowledge of early Pentecostalism in South Africa as many of the leadership of the A.F.M. were received by her parents as overnight guests - especially in the early days of their ministry. She wrote her Memoirs shortly before her death and some of her testimonies will in due course appear on this website (It is currently available on the web site as an audiobook in Afrikaans (Kruik vol Lewende Water). Ester’s father also wrote a book on how God, in a very remarkable way, had used him with the Holy Spirit gifts. This book is currently under revision as many of his notes and dictation still have to be incorporated in the final version.

Ester therefore has a wealth of knowledge of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the reality of the risen Jesus. She underwent the water baptism at the tender age of ten, after responding to an altar call, and four years later (1954) was mightily baptized with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues.

Although she has always been a committed Christian, it was only in 1980, and as a result of a serious lung disease she had contracted, that she made a firm decision to cross over to a much deeper walk with Jesus. It was during this time that the Lord gave her prophetic revelation concerning her calling to the Jews, also giving her a special message to bring to them.

Regardless of her keen interest in creative writing and coming from a background where a love for books and knowledge was cultivated, she deliberately opted for Christian writing, especially propagating the reality of a risen Jesus and His Gospel Truth, also the relevance of the prophetic word and divine healing. Her love and respect for the active working of the Lord in the lives of Christians and Christian gatherings through the Power Gifts, has prompted her to encourage believers to persevere in the path that was paved for us by the risen Jesus and His Apostles.

She holds a Th.D but she regards her practical experience in the Lord and the wealth of knowledge gained from research and from her spiritual significant others who were led by the Spirit of God in knowledge and wisdom of the Scriptures, as conclusive proof that Jesus and apostolic Truth is indeed a reality. Searching the Scriptures and gaining in-depth knowledge of especially the early apostolic age and especially how apostasy impacted thereon is therefore a life-long task for her, and calling for complete dedication so that Truth can triumph over the lie, to the glory of her only Master, Jesus Christ.
